Who We Are
Jamaica Ash & Rubbish Removal Co., Inc. ("we", "us", "our") is a family-run waste management company based in Westbury, New York. This policy explains how we handle information collected through this website.
Information We Collect
- When you call us: your name, service address, phone number, email and billing details, so we can schedule and bill service.
- When you use our online helpers: the text you type into the FAQ assistant or the container size helper is sent to an AI service to generate an answer. We do not save these messages or link them to you. Please don't type personal or payment details into them.
- Automatically: standard technical data your browser sends, such as IP address, browser type and pages visited. If site analytics are turned on, this includes anonymous usage statistics (Google Analytics) such as which pages are viewed and which call buttons are tapped.
When you use our quote request form: your name, phone number, email (optional), address or town, the service and container size you need, your preferred date and your message. To prevent spam and abuse we also store a one-way hashed version of your IP address (not the address itself) and your browser type. The FAQ assistant and container helper use the same hashed IP only to limit how many questions can be sent per hour.
We use quote request details only to respond to your request and schedule service. They are stored securely, access is limited to our staff, and they are never sold or shared for marketing. The site has no account sign-up and does not ask for payment details directly.
How We Use It
- To schedule and deliver waste collection services.
- To process payments through our third-party billing provider.
- To answer questions and service requests.
- To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
- To comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
Third-Party Services
Some features are provided by other companies, which handle data under their own policies:
- Online bill pay: our billing partner processes payments on its own secure page.
- Map: the map on our contact section is provided by Google Maps.
- Analytics: Google Analytics, when enabled.
- AI answers: our FAQ assistant and container helper use an AI service to write replies.
- Social media: links to Facebook and Instagram take you to those sites, which have their own privacy policies.
Cookies
We use only the cookies and browser storage needed for the site to work, plus analytics cookies if site analytics are turned on. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
Data Security & Retention
The site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. We keep customer records only as long as needed to provide service, handle billing and meet legal requirements. If we ever learn of a breach affecting your private information, we will notify you as required by New York law (the SHIELD Act).
Children
This site is meant for adults arranging waste service. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Your Rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to records we must keep by law. Call our office at (516) 333-2211, Monday through Saturday. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
Changes To This Policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
